A Coptic delegation from the Parish of Esna and Armant has congratulated the Orthodox Coptic inhabitants of al-Dayr village, in the south of Luxor, on the occasion of the annual celebration of the birth of Aḥmad ibn Idrīs. The village is home to a mosque bearing the name of the saint, whose lineage extends back to the grandson of the Prophet. The festivities, which included traditional folk dancing as well as religious talks, were attended by representatives of the local dioceses and from the Ministry of Awqāf.
