Eliana Mallouk is Lebanese and works at the Lebanon office of DanMission, a Christian Danish faith-based organisation working for almost 200 years in the Middle East and North Africa, and also in other regions including Asia and Europe. Our main focus is on dialogue, peace building and also on human rights. DanMission works in different parts of Egypt with the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services (CEOSS). One of the Egyptian student participants asked about the obstacles faced in organizing projects in Egypt. Eliana mentioned National Security. Both Eliana and Cornelis (Kees) Hulsman spoke about their experiences with  National Security who, obviously, want to avoid problems with whatever actors are involved and who therefore need to be consulted in order to get their approval for projects but this is not an easy process.
