Rodinson’s book is a project for the joint understanding of Arab academics concerning building a scientific program for Islamic studies. He begins his study by asking many questions, some of which are ’How can we plan for the future of studies of dialogue concerning the Islamic world? What directions can we hope to go into and which areas will be the most fertile for research?’ Dr. Al-Fayoumy comments on Rodinson’s work.
