The slogan which the takfīr-based groups were raising is “Kill and you will be rewarded…kill an unbeliever and you will go to paradise.” At one point, the kufār [infidels] were said to be the country's leaders and senior officials, another time they were the police officers and soldiers, tourists and Copts, a third time they were intellectuals, thinkers, and artists. The ideology of takfīr has expanded such that the whole nation has itself been accused of disbelief. The losses faced by the takfīrī movement in Saudi Arabia and Egypt should be investigated so as to put an end to all negative ideological trends.
