A number of activists calling themselves “activists in support of Kāmīliyā Shihātah” announced that demonstrations demanding her release will continue. They announced two demonstrations to take place next Friday in Cairo and Alexandria. Najīb Jabrā‘īl, president of the Egyptian Union for Human Rights, warned against the consequences of more demonstrations that attack leading church figures. He said that he fears Coptic demonstrations in response.
