Field Marshal Husayn al-Tantāwī, head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, sent a delegation to the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral to greet Coptic Pope Shenouda III on the occasion of the Resurrection feast.

Tantāwī also sent a delegation to all Christian denominations.
