Grand Shaykh of the Azhar, Dr. Ahmad al-Tayīb, and all members of Family House initiative demanded the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) to ban protests in front of houses of worship and the application of a strict law against all fitnah inciters.

This came in an urgent meeting of the initiative to announce the results of the fact-finding commission investigating the imbābah incidents.

Bishop Armiyā, Assistant Bishop and Secretary of Coptic Pope Shenouda III, Bishop Dr. Yūhannā Qultah Sa‘īd, Deputy Patriarch of the Coptic Catholic Church, Bishop Munīr Hannā [President Bishop of the Episcopal church in Jerusalem and the Middle East], Father Būlus Halīm and a number of the Egyptian church representatives attended the meeting.
