A number of the Azhar Scholars, members of the “Egyptian Family House” and the three Egyptian churches welcomed the draft law on building houses of worship. They all asked for its issuance as soon as possible in order to face the sectarian fitnah that takes place every now and then. The Azhar Institutions sent its official approval of the common law for houses of worship, after carrying out some amendments regarding the articles of law. It also advocated for separating between the conditions on constructing mosques and churches.
