In continuation to the series of attempts to spread terror and fear in society, and in an attempt to delay examinations, two bombs were found close to the Azhar university containing a highly explosive TNT. General Magdī Abbāss stated that there was a strange looking device which turned out to be a fake bomb upon being examined. Later, a plastic bag was found next the university gate, which was checked by explosive experts, and discovered that it is a real bomb and was defused. Ahmad Abd al-Sattār, AzharUniversity student passed away yesterday due to a birdshot in the head. He was injured in the clashes with security a week ago (Author not mentioned, al-Watan, May 6, p. 1).
