Freedom of the Press before the Appeals Court in Egypt

 Egyptian authorities have now detained three employees of Al-Jazeera English for a year under the accusations of supporting terrorism.  They were charged with broadcasting false information, possessing audio-visual equipment without the required permit, and supporting the Muslim Brotherhood. The arrested journalists are expected to be released during the ongoing thawing of relations between Cairo and Doha after Al-Jazeera shuttered “Al-Jazeera Egypt” after its restructuring.
