Between 2006 and 2008 we have systematically collected names of personalities from the (summary) translations of Arabic media and own reports in our database and linked them together in strings to ease search on the background of people reported in Arab-West Report.

The Danish Egyptian Dialogue Institute (DEDI) provided in this period scholarships for Danish and Egyptian interns to write short biographies of personalities related to Arab-West mutual understanding.

We believe that one only can gauge the role of a particular individual over a period of time and this list of names of persons and biographies aims to assist researchers in this. This project only can be continued if funding would become available.
