Medina’s first ’cyber café’ opened last June in the heart of the city which like Mecca is still officially closed to non-Muslims. The cafe is a spin-off of the Al Medina Research and Studies Centre, set up by regional governor Prince Abdel Majeed to collate everything to do with the sacred city.
