Dr. Ayman al-Ḥajjār, a researcher at al-Azhar’s Council of Senior Scholars, said the ḥadīth that reads "A people who make a woman their ruler will never be successful" is a well-documented one reported by Imām al-Bukhārī and narrated by the revered Ṣaḥabī (the Prophet’s Companion) Abū Bakra.
