The Coptic Orthodox Church is set to celebrate the birthday of Pope Shinūda III (Shenouda III), the 117th Pope of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, on August 3. Pope Shinūda III held one of the longest-serving papacies, occupying the papal chair from 1971 until 2012.
