The Egyptian Syndicate of Lawyers decided to disbar the head of the National American Coptic Assembly, Maurice Sādiq, upon the request of various Islamic members of the syndicate. They accuse Sādiq of insulting Egypt, the Egyptian people, God, the Muslim Prophet Muhammad, and the Qur'ān. He is also accused of supporting Egypt’s “enemies."
