Copts are seen protesting yesterday outside the Egyptian Radio and Television Union on the Nile Corniche for the seventh day in a row, after angry Muslims demolished a church in a village in Helwan Governorate when a romance between a Coptic man and a Muslim woman came to light.

A source close to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces said the church would be rebuilt within one or two days, once the two sides had effected reconciliation.

Meanwhile, the Coptic protesters say they will continue to demonstrate until the torched church has been rebuilt.
