Dozens of Copts staged a march from Shubrā to al-Masarah metro station demanding the release of Coptic protesters, arrested in the recent Maspero incidents.

Protesters chanted slogans against the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF).

Meanwhile, hundreds of Copts protested in Saint Mark's Cathedral in al-'Abāsīyah, against the Army's attempt to demolish a fence belonging to the Virgin Mary and Saint John's Monastery in Egypt-Ismailia road.
