"Coptic Alliance Without Borders" movement called on Muslims and Copts to protest off the Ethiopian Embassy in Duqī district of Cairo, to protest against the Renaissance Dam crisis. The movement stated that the purpose of the protest is to reinforce Egypt's claim on the Nile waters, and to criticize the Ethiopian government's handling of the situation which they see as endangering relations between Egypt and Ethiopia (John 'Abd al-Malāk, al-Misrīyūn, May 30, p. 5).
