Al-Azhar al-Sharīf vehemently condemns the terrorist attack that was carried out by two armed extremists incited by hate speech against Islam. The gunmen targeted the Islamic Center in San Diego, California and killed three worshippers at the mosque as well as the mosque’s guard. This brutal attack was a heinous crime that demonstrates the grave danger posed by inflammatory ideologies fueled by unchecked hate speech.
