Sāmī Fawzī, Archbishop of the Anglican Episcopal Church in Egypt, said that the Resurrection is not just a religious occasion but a living message that restores people’s confidence in tomorrow and pushes them towards adhering to the values of peace and coexistence, despite the harshness and complexities of reality.

In his interview with al-Dustūr, Fawzī stressed that the state presents a unique model of citizenship and coexistence between Muslims and Christians to the world, praising President Abd al-Fattāḥ al-Sīsī’s keenness to visit the cathedral annually.
