On the morning of the 15^th of December and within the framework of the draft legislation of the Personal Status Laws that was funded by the German Embassy, the Center for Egyptian Women Legal Assistance held a discussion entitled “Personal Status Laws: between Reality and Aspirations”. Those participating in the discussion included Nashwā al-Dīb, a member of Parliament, and Yāsir ʿAbd al-Gawād, a cassation lawyer. The discussion was moderated by Lamyāʾ Luṭfī, a consultant on gender and international mechanisms.
