Spokesman of Egypt’s Cabinet Nādir Saʿd stated that in response to the application submitted by the Church Regularization Committee, the Prime Minister Muṣṭafā Madbūlī has ordered to ease the regularization procedures for unlicensed churches.

According to the Prime Minister, the status of 120 churches has been already regularized since the formation of the committee in 2016, and that further 340 churches and their service buildings are to be licensed.
