Nour Saad is Egyptian, a former student at the DEO, studies political science and sociology in Germany, and interned between March 1 and April 2, 2020, with the Center for Arab-West Understanding where she wrote a report about the cooperative religious education at the German Evangelical International school in Cairo. Nour prepared a number of questions for the students in our webinar which was followed by a discussion with the students in our webinar. The cooperative religious education at the DEO is unique in Egypt and attracted a lot of attention of Egyptian students who have all been at schools where the Muslims and Christians were separated during religious education. Respondents to this presentation were not only student participants but also Henk Jan van Schothorst of the Dutch SGP Party, Daniëlle Leder of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands (PKN) and Katja Nikles of Missio in Germany. The discussion was recorded. Khurjinder Khambay made the transcript which was edited and approved for accuracy by Cornelis Hulsman, Nour Saad, Henk Jan van Schothorst, Daniëlle Leder, Katja Nikles and Yosr Khedr for those sections in the text that refer to them.
