Egyptian Columnist Muḥammad Ḥamādīwrites this week:

“Copt” in the ancient Egyptian language means “ancient Egyptian” and therefore we are all Copts, we are all Egyptians.

The Egyptians have sensed the danger of sedition and division but the Egyptian people are standing tall and united throughout the ages, despite all circumstances. The head of the Orthodox Church in Egypt, Pope Tawāḍrūs II, said that the acts of violence and terrorism taking place in Egypt are aimed at the whole country and that not just the Christians of Egypt but everyone is targeted.
