On Monday (October 2), the Grand Imām of al-Azhar, Dr. Aḥmad al-Ṭayyīb, received Egypt’s ambassador to the Vatican, Maḥmūd Ṭalʿat, and gave him a message to send to Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church.
