The Coptic Orthodox Church celebrates the 98th anniversary of the Birth of Pope Shinūda, the 117th Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church. Pope Shinūda passed away at the age of 89 in 2012 and was buried in a special shrine at the Monastery of Bishop Bīshūy in Wādī al Naṭrūn.
