The attempts to put an end to the conflict between the head of the General Assembly of the Free Methodist Church and the ten deposed pastors have been ineffective. The head of the Assembly stated that the reason for this conflict was that the pastor of the church of Al-Goun asked foreign bodies to finance the projects of the benevolent organization he had founded, without referring to the General Assembly. Four of the deposed pastors apologized to the General Assembly but they had not yet been re-instated because the decisions of the Assembly can only be appealed against before the administrative judiciary.
