Father Basilious from the monastery of Anba Bola issued a statement on behalf of the monasteries of Beni Suef and on behalf of the Council of Monks, expressing their condemnation of the Israeli practices against the Palestinian and President Arafat. They asked the international community to take measures to stop violence and destruction in Palestine in order to achieve an equitable and permanent peace in the Middle East.
