In an Alexandrian youth camp, the Egyptian Grand Mufti, Dr. Ali Goma’a, met with nearly 500 students from Egyptian universities and from delegations studying at the Azhar. Dr Goma’a gave his lecture on the mosque’s role in building the individual. Dr. Goma’a also answered questions on various topics presented by students.


Dr. Goma’ a stated that the wrong thoughts and [extremist] actions of some Muslims created the opportunity for some tyrannical powers to launch attacks on Muslims worldwide. Such attacks are, firstly, the result of envy on the part of those who bear Islam a grudge and, secondly, the outcome of some Muslims’ faults.
