We affirmed many times that the Church wants to play a political role that will be at odds with the essence of Christianity. Politics is known for its fluctuating stances that are different from religious values and principles. Moreover, the Egyptian law, thanks to Allāh, does not offer the Church any authority or political status. The constitution extends its power over all Egyptian citizens regardless of their religion’s creeds and affiliations.
