Mahmūd Hamdī Zaqzūq, Minister of Awqāf (Endowments) confirmed that the conflict between inherited culture and newcomer culture  in the Islamic Arab culture is very old.

He believes that the conflict that sometimes happens between both parties is a positive thing because it proves the vitality of the culture.

Zaqzūq is confident that the interaction between different perspectives is necessary to maintain a sound balance in the identity of our culture and enabling it to cope with new developments coming from outside.
