Al-Misrīyūn reports, that Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II had contacted Dr. Muhammad al-Barād’ī, head of al-Dustūr Party, and Hamdīn Sabbāhī, former Egyptian presidential candidate, in order to “coordinate the stance of the Church with that of the opposition” after the dialogue meeting that President Muhammad Mursī had initiated with representatives of all national and political powers. al-Barād’ī and Hamdīn Sabbāhī are leading members of the National Salvation Front, the main liberal opposition group to the government led by President Muhammad Mursī, announced their categorical rejection of the Constitutional referendum scheduled for December 15.
