‘Abd al-Hādī al-Qasabī, Grand Shaykh of the Sūfīs, has called for cooperation throughout the Arabic and Islamic world to launch a swift intervention to rescue Muslims in Burma and the Central African Republic, as well as to prevent any further incursions by Israeli forces into Al-‘Aqsá Mosque in Jerusalem. Al-Qasabī, also the President of the Supreme Council for Sufi Orders, praised the appeal of the Azhar, which called on the Islamic world to act in relation to Al-‘Aqsá Mosque, saying that these incursions were happening on an almost daily basis (Muhammad ‘Aūf, al-Dustūr, Mar. 6, p. 2).
