The EgyptianChurch celebrated today the festival of mourning for Pope Kyrillos VI, the 116^th Pope of the Coptic Church, at his shrine and church, recently inaugurated by Pope Tawadros II, at the Monastery of Saint Mina near Alexandria. The service was attended by a large number of priests and members of the church. Pope Kyrillos, one of the modern saints, enjoys enormous popularity in both Coptic and Islamic communities, as is also known as the ‘Pope of Miracles’ (Author not mentioned, al-Dustūr, Mar. 9, p. 5). Read original text in Arabic here.
