Dr. Shawqī ‘Allām, the grand muftī, stated that Dār al- Iftā is not isolated from the needs of the Egyptian people. He added that the fatwás that it issued is considered the translation for the movement that is taking place in Egyptian society with all its segments. He added that the way to get out of the confusion due to fatwás issued by some  people who are not specialized (Alī Ragab, al- Dustūr, Aug. 23, p. 5).
