The United Nations is scrutinizing the United States’ human rights record after several violent flare-ups associated with the killings of unarmed black men by police officers around the country. In addition to investigating policing techniques, the United Nations is looking at mass-surveillance programs as well as operations surround the United States’ “War on Terror.”
