Ambassador ʿAlāʾ Yūsuf, Egypt's Ambassador to France and its Permanent Delegate to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), confirmed that the World Heritage Committee of the organization has adopted a decision to remove the archaeological site of Abū Mīnā from the list of World Heritage sites in danger. The removal of the site from the list of endangered World Heritage sites crowns the continuous and diligent efforts of the Egyptian government over the past years to improve the preservation status of the site and bring it to the desired level.
