Hundreds of Christian believers participated in the Palm Sunday procession in Jerusalem. The procession started from the Monastery of Bayt Fajjār in the town of Al-Tūr and passed through the streets of the town, including the road to the Church of Gethsemane, the Church of Santa Maria, and the road to the Lions’ Gate (also known as the Gate of the Tribes), to finally reach the Church of St. Anne in the Old City. The participants raised palm and olive branches, chanting religious hymns as they walked in the procession.
