Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church, Pope Tawāḍrūs II, received a delegation from the U.S. House of Worship Foundation currently on a visit to Egypt for interfaith dialogue. The Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs, Sohā Jindī, also attended the meeting in which Pope Tawāḍrūs detailed the history of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt, as well as elaborated on the special status enjoyed by Egypt in the Bible. Pope Tawāḍrūs and Minister Jindī praised the efforts of the other’s institutions respectively in fostering inter-religious dialogue and respect in Egypt.
