In the secular societies, religion is not considered as one of the main foundations on which the country, its constitution, and principal law are based. Accordingly, all the citizens of this country will not feel any discrimination whether they are Christians, Muslims or Jews. But if the society declared that religion is one of the basic foundations on which the country, its constitution, and principal law are based, then the society will be divided into "first class" citizens, and those who are "second class" citizens. Here in Egypt, we are living the second case. The constitution stated that the official religion of the country is Islam with the presence of a few who are Christians.
