Former Parliament member Dr. Georgette Qalīnī said that Coptic activist Michael Munīr’s statement requesting that Copts not vote for the National Democratic Party (of which Qalīnī is a proud member) is his freedom of speech. She pointed out that Copts have the right to either listen to his advice or reject it, expressing regret that Egypt is moving towards becoming a civil state at such a slow rate.
