Youssef Sidhom discuses an example of religious discrimination through the prism of student and staff numbers at Assiut University, where even though 28 percent of the student population is Christian, only 0.75 percent of the teaching staff is Christian. This, according to Sidhom, stems from a systematic discrimination in the university to ensure students do not achieve the grades required to join the teaching staff.
