It finally happened !! Mubarak has stepped down and cleared the way for the necessary change in the country.

Nothing can parallel the emotional roller coaster ride Egypt has gone through these past weeks, but in a way events parall the fall of the Berlin Wall 1989.

Watching from the distance like myself and a lot of other Egyptian friends who either had to leave the country last week or were confined to their homes it was like an emotional roller coaster ride.

First there was the big emotions when finally, after 30 years of political standstill people really stepped out on Midan Tahrir and dared to claim their right for freedom and call for change.

I guess even 2 months ago no one in the Middle East would have counted this to be possible at all.
