Addressing the inauguration of the cultural season of the Azhar's Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs on Monday (January 16), Muftī of the Republic Shaykh 'Alī Jum'ah said there was no group called virtue-promoting and vice-preventing organization during the time of the Prophet Muhammad.

Jum'ah said that Muslims are now experiencing the age of "religious discourse chaos, not the age of fatwá chaos," adding the ifta (the practice of giving religious opinions of Islam regarding contemporary issues) is a scholarly approach that should not be given by anyone except specialists.
