Matruh media center conducted a forum on March 18 about “the rights and responsibilities of citizens”. Representatives of the Church have held up the governorate of Matruh as an example of how to renounce and prevent violence and fitnah between religious communities. Bishop Bijīmī al-Anbā Būlā agreed on the importance of love and understanding between the different religious communities. ‘Abd al-Ghaffār al-Malāh, the head of Matruh City and Township, agreed on the importance of political initiatives to promote the importance of freedom and religious equality between citizens (Hāzim Rif’at, al-Watan, Mar. 19, p. 2). Read original text in Arabic.
