The group ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) broke into 2 secondary schools for girls last week in the city of al-Raqqah, and arrested 10 girls aged between 15-17 for contravening laws imposed by the group in relation to women’s clothing. The girls were flogged before an Islamic court and detained for six hours, according to Muhammad al-Raqāwī, writing for al-Arabiya.net.
