Ashraf Anīs, Member of the Association the right to life,  and the first person who resigned from the Coptic Orthodox Church stated that ruling of the Administrative Court to allow him to resign from the Orthodox Church, based on the decision of the church,  is an acknowledgment that resigning from church is a personal right allowed by the law and the Constitution, and the church does not have any power over it.
