President of the Strong Egypt Party, ‘Abd al-Mun‘im Abū al-Futūh, has called on young members of the Muslim Brotherhood to show devotion to God by rebelling against the mistakes made by the leaders of the Brotherhood. He said that further protests were to no avail and that their priority should be to become part of society and participate in parliamentary elections. He said he believed that Khayrat al-Shātir, former Deputy Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, was responsible for leading the organization into a trap by seeking the advice of the Americans, who would not support the group in the long term.
