The Balsam Human Rights Initiative issued an urgent appeal to the United Nations, warning that the Palestinian Christian presence in historic Palestine faces an existential threat as a result of Israel’s systematic violations of international law.

The report, submitted to a number of UN special rapporteurs and bodies, pointed out that Palestinian Christians in Gaza, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and inside Israel are facing "the risk of erasing their historical presence" due to war, settlement expansion, and discrimination.
