Dr. Saʿd al-Dīn Ibrāhīm, director of the Ibn Khaldūn Centre, traveled to Israel to participate in a symposium on Egypt organized by the Tel Aviv University.

Dubbed ‘Political Upheaval in Egypt: A History Reconsidered’, former ambassador to Israel in Egypt and currently teaching at the Israeli university, Prof. Shimon Shamir is to give a speech.

Professor Shlomo Avineri, who in 1979 he was a member of the joint Egyptian-Israeli commission that negotiated the Cultural and Scientific Agreement between the two countries, will give a lecture entitled ‘Modernization, civil society and pharaonic heritage’.

Dr. Saʿd al-Dīn Ibrāhīm will lecture on‘Lessons from a century of unrest in Egypt’.
